the perfect saturday

started with an early morning drive back to norfolk to clear out the old apartment. after an hour of 90 million degree weather, we finally had everything loaded into the jeep and called around for some company. brendan and rachel rallied and met us over at cantina for lunches and beers.

leaving the cantina,





we decided to journey over to total wine for some tasting and stocking up before heading back to rva. this took some time.....





after craig the wine tasting manager pointed us in some very tasty directions, we decided to return Chez Ash and open a bottle or two, but first dave had some homework to finish. brendan, rachel and i tried to help, but ultimately it was all him.





following some scintillating conversation and a few photos...

we suddenly realized we were hungry....so we headed over to crackers at the new location on granby. after a short wait, we got a table and the fun started.....










after cocktails and 2 bottles, dave and i stayed at the ash residence for the night. everything ended back in the computer room, with impromptu video dj'ing from youtube and a bit of karaoke. in a word.... fantastico!!
