weekend dilemmas

friday night was easy: i needed a break from school. dave and went to ipanema for a fabulous dinner (damn their BBQ seitan was tasty!!). we saw tess and dan briefly in the midst of multi-person revelry and, after finishing our dinner, went back home to watch mad men. oh yes, there was a pre-thanksgiving gift of season 1 on dvd. all i can say is find this baby and watch it. if we had amc, we'd be watching the new season. it's that good.

saturday was spent rummaging thru vintage shops. sadly i didn't make it to halcyon because i really wasn't in the buying mood, mostly the "need to get out of the apartment" looking mood. i stayed in a looked at my exam that's due monday morning without any real progress.

now you're caught up to this moment. when i've been screwing around on blogger, getting reacquainted with my friends and neighbors (yes i read even if i don't always comment). it's now almost 11, the guardian is on, the coffee is good and my exam is curiously not finishing itself. really mr exam, write yourself, that's an order. it's time, in the words of my dad, "buckle down and work".

rats and i was starting to enjoy myself. but if i may, let me direct you to the "other" blog and this post. it was pretty spectacular.

lastly, back to my favorite b horror flicks. today's trailer (courtesy of youtube, where would we be?) is the 1958 version of the blob. the floating dock scene has stuck with me since i first saw it in middle school...
