1. getting texts out of the blue telling me that delicious slow cooked brunswick stew is making its way to my home and thus to my stomach! i literally ate most of a container full as soon as tess and dan dropped it off.....sooooooo good!
2. it's not -eleventy anymore!! woo-hoo spring weather!
3. charleston is gorgeous! a weekend away was lovely...anytime i get to simultaneously catch up with my brother and it all starts with a st patrick's day themed pubcrawl on a small island? genius! we started off with breakfast at fleet landing in downtown charleston. it used to be a navy place and the shrimp and grits were out of this world. seriously i would pay $$$ for the recipe or a never ending supply!
4. goodwill shopping in other cities is outstanding :) i picked up yet another picnic basket, this one reminds of the ones yogi and booboo tried to steal. dave rolled his eyes and asked how many picnic baskets one person needed (this brought my collection to 5!!) so i speedily added that i was willing too part with 2 picnic baskets for this one. it had ceramic mugs, saucers and a TEAPOT!!! i HAD to have it!!! i kept my promise, the other 2 are posted to facebook for rehoming.
5. south of the border provides a much needed rest from the road on the way home. sadly we couldn't go the top of the sombrero due to the wind, but that just means we have lots to do the next trip :) as it was we bought magical hats for best friend's day (though i'll be sporting mine more frequently i think! its a kid's cowboy hat with a whistle!!)

7. i still haven't seen alice in wonderland, i want to go!!!
